alarms on 2 iPads - can I have an alarm on just one (independent of the other)

I have 2 iPads, a new iPad, and my old iPad mini.

When an alarm goes off on my mini, it also goes off on my iPad.

Obviously, if I'm only using one at a time, and the other is off, I won't have this issue!

(usually, I'm using one, but the other is also on)

The alarms are synced - any way for them not to be? (like my iPhone vs my iPad, different alarms, independent of each other)

Hello Concetta Zito,

We understand that when you set an alarm on one of your iPads, the alarm sounds on both devices instead. The alarms should not sync across devices. If you remove all alarms on both devices, then create a new one, does the same behavior happen? Here's a great guide to follow, just in case: Set an alarm on iPad

If the behavior continues, let us know more:

  • How are you setting the alarm? In the Clock app, using Siri, or somewhere else?
  • Which software version is installed on each iPad? Tap Settings > General > About to find out.

The more details you can provide the better.

Take care.

I had just bought a new iPad, and when I transferred data from the old one to the new one, I guess it even transferred my alarm settings (I had not entered them in the new iPad).

So with your guidance, I deleted the ones on the new iPad , but kept the ones on the old one (where I wanted them for now). Voilà! they are gone from the new iPad! (just to be sure, I shut down and re-started both).

It didn't occur to me to delete the unwanted alarms one, I just thought the 2 iPads were syncing!

Thank you!
