do I have to make an appointment before i go..
or i can go directly to the abu dhabi store to make the trade in?!

Do you even know if the store has any iPhone 13 Pro Max available for purchase? If you didn't pre-order one, your chances are not very good. Millions upon millions of people pre-ordered these newest phones and are still waiting for their phone to be delivered. Most US Stores have no stock available for walk-in customers. And due to the worldwide chip shortages, it was reported yesterday Apple will be forced to cut production on the new phones.
