Hi Hotcat,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
We understand that you're unable to locate your Spam folder in your Mail app on your iPad, correct?
If you're using iCloud mail, you should find a folder titled "Junk" in your mail app. This article explains how to use it: Identify and filter junk mail in iCloud
If you're using an email provider other than iCloud, we'd recommend that you reach out to your email provider directly to help you to locate your Spam folder.
We hope this helps.
Cheers!
Hi, thank you.
BT say my SPAM folder is still there. On their web browser, rather an Mail App on iPad, it is. The items in it are identical to the new JUNK folder on iPad I have noticed.
BUT items put into JUNK do not go there again automatically once received as with Spam items?!
I have to manually put them there each time?
You are presumably using the native Mail App to access your BT Mail. If your “Spam” folder (a.k.a. mailbox for IMAP) is not visible on your iPad, you may need to first delete your BT Mail account from your iPad - and then re-add the account.
Before doing so, sign-in to your BT Mail account from your chosen web browser, such as Safari, and verify for yourself that all your Mail (and folders) are visible:
If all is well, you can delete the email account from your iPad; deletion of the account will not delete any email from BT’s mail server. To delete the account from your iPad:
Settings > Mail > Accounts > [Your email account] > Delete Account
If you haven’t done so already, force-close the Mail App. Swipe-upwards from the bottom edge to the centre of the iPad screen; the Task Switcher will appear. Swipe the Mail window off the top of the screen. Now restart your iPad:
Restart your iPad - Apple Support
After restarting the iPad, re-add your email account:
Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Having re-added your Mail account, all your Mail and folders should be visible in the Mail App.
