Slideshow not working on Apple TV 4th Gen

Wel I am about to give up on using my Apple TV for anything involving PHOTOS. It is so much easier to MIRROR from one of my Apple powerbooks. Nothing will show up when I follow their instructions: open PHOTOS> then go to SHARED> click. Then nothing. I am signed inot the iCloud, my Apple ID is signed ina and working on my Apple TV and all my other Apple devices. I can play a slide show using ALBUMS. I want to set them time for the slide to be on the screen. And Apple says this is where I can adjust that. Their Support articles say just this. Like I said earlier, MIRRORING from a powerbook is much easier and I can also add music when I MIRROR. An ALBUM played from within the PHOTOS app itself on an Apple TV is silent.

I am running the latest OS for the Apple TV and on my Mac 16" Powerbook. It will not work from within the Apple TV app for PHOTOS, and I am giving up on using it for slideshows. I will AirPlay from my Mac. Why include something when AirPlay does work and it is a far better experience than trying to work it out on Apple TV. I can not use this for business as it will not work. So I use my Mac Powerbook, which will work. This is not a business friendly app at all.

Apple Home KitOK, no answers? Well I will just use my Mac Powerbook then. But this is a real issue if Apple wants to move forward with this interconectedness of Apple devices. This could be a business useful application. But it seems the Apple TV people are giving up. This sends a signal that Apples efforts to get people to subscribe to Apple TV + is not going to work. If this interconnectedness with AirPlay-Screen Mirroring-Apple Home Kit does not work, what is the reason I should give it a second thought?
