-------

Remove a Login Item:

Boot in Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, Login Items do not open at login. See if this no longer pops up. Then, look at your Login Items and remove what is there.

  1. Boot: into Safe Mode[Hold down: shift key upon boot].
  2. Open: System Preferences
  3. Click: Users & Groups
  4. Unlock: the lock
  5. Click: the item with a checkmark
  6. Click: "–" sign
  7. Click: the lock
  8. Restart the Mac

Typically third party Anti-Virus does nothing but add issues and compete directly with Apple’s® own built in Security.

False flags are but one issue...

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN—

If you suspect you have installed adware/malware:

Try running this trusted utility https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

or

manually you can root in out—

>System Preferences>Profiles click into it and then remove all the suspicious things from the list. (This Preference pane will not be present if no profiles found.)

also Verify you are not using SOCKS proxy:

>System Preferences>Networks>Advanced>Proxy uncheck the box

Adware/malware launch daemons can set SOCKS proxies without user participation.

(SOCKS is an Internet protocol that exchanges network packets between a client and server through a proxy server.)
