ESPN iOS Widget

I am currently on iOS 15.0.2 and have not been able to access (or locate) the ESPN app widget for some time now. It worked properly a couple versions ago (maybe original widget integration in iOS 14?), but has been missing for me for a while. It does not show up in my widget list or with a search.

I have tried all of the fix attempts I’ve been able to find online (restart phone, make sure I’ve opened the app, switch system text to bold, etc.), but nothing seems to be working.

Did ESPN discontinue their widget for iOS? Am I missing something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I uninstalled ESPN app, downloaded it again, added my favs, then added the widget and it worked! My teams next games are there. Maybe they fixed this in the latest Nov upgrade.

ESPN released an app update yesterday 11/01/2021 that fixed this issue for me!

espn widget issue was fixed in latest ESPN update. Now working again.

Reinstalling the app and resetting all my alerts in the app worked for me.

Contact the Developer of the software. You'd find their contact information on the App's site of the App Store. Perhaps there is something they can inform you of getting this back.

Nothing yet! Hopefully a fix pops up. I currently use TheScore widget, but I much preferred the layout and info provided in the ESPN widget when it worked for me way back when.

I can find mine on the list, but all it says for me is “Unable to load” where the scores used to be. I restarted my phone, all my apps and system are updated. Not sure why it stopped working.

Same here. I have done all the usual steps ( restart, remove and reinstall the app, etc). Have to assume an update on the IOS or ESPN app is coming. This has been going on now for a couple of weeks

Same issue. I hope they fix it or post a working fix because when I have to go go go this is my only way to keep an eye on the games. Disappointed.

Lost the "ESPN iOS" Widget?:

Perform Two Things:

A. Start with a Restart:

Restart your iPhone, and see if it then is fixed.

Also...

B. Reset the Home Screen Layout...

Go Here: Move and organize apps on iPhone - Apple Support

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

Go to: Settings
Tap: General
Tap: Reset
Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout
