I am personally seeing an estimated delivery for middle of November for my specific zip code.
Keep in mind, the electronics industry is going through a chip shortage because of the demand in electronics from stay at home work, so it may be difficult to find inventory of the particular color and/or storage option you are looking for this holiday season.
My best recommendation is to check for pickup availability if an Apple store is available near you. It doesn’t hurt to visit your local store, you may be lucky and they’ll have some spare inventory.
