In iOS searching in Calendar seems to only look forward in time for future events. In macOS the Calendar can search the past as well as the future. I was wondering what's available in iPadOS. Will Calendar search for past events, or like iOS only search the future?

I think so but my iPad is at home so I can't confirm right now. You can use a third-party app such as Fantastical or Week Cal to search further back.

The iOS version of the calendar can search the past but only for the past 12 months.
