Calendar search not working

There are events in my Calendar which I can find by searching in the Calendar app on my iPhone, but do not show up when I do the same search on my Mac. The events do appear in the Calendar apps on both devices. The only difference is that search doesn't find them in Calendar search on my Mac. Spotlight search doesn't find them either.

I've tried restarting my mac, including restarting it in Safe Mode. Those actions don't help.

I'm running Venture 13.2.1 on Apple Silicon

I found the answer. I went to System Preferences:iCloud and turned Calendar off and on there. When it repopulated Calendar with the events stored in iCloud, they were searchable.
