How do i stack pictures without them being behind one another

Hey Guys,

I cant find a article or video on how to stack pictures without them being behind one another more like on top. So for further explanation, i would like the pictures not to be layered and/or make it to where i can say "move to front".

Thank you!

The stacking order in the timeline is just as you'd see in Photoshop's layers: the layers on top are... above, just like in your first screenshot.

If you want them in a different order, just drag them...

If I may suggest, don't drag stuff directly from the Finder to FCP timeline.

Use the Import command (Command-I or click the Import button) to import.

Then drag them from the FCP browser to wherever you want them in the timeline.

Hello,

Please see below screen shot of previewer, im trying to get the pictures to stack on top of each other whilst the most recent(on top) shows instead of being put behind the other pictures bc of layers. Sorta like photoshop. where you have to move certain layers to the front. how do i do that in final cut pro?

The picture of the girl is the last picture i clicked on and the most recent. if i added that picture along with others in fcpx then it'll be behind other pictures. im trying to stack the pictures in the project/video.
