What is the make & model of your wireless router? Do you normally administer it using a web browser on your desktop (Windows or Mac) ... and now want to know how to do the same thing with your Mac notebook?
I believe the Apple "weak security" warning appears, since either iOS 14 or macOS Big Sur, is due to the use of the TKIP cryptographic protocol for the wireless security setting. Switching to AES (which uses the CCMP protocol,) regardless of enabling either the WPA2 or WPA3 certification standard, should resolve this ... so at this point in time, WPA3 is not actually required.
I keep getting a notification saying I don't have it set for WPA 2 but that is how I set it a while ago.
You likely cannot fix that unless your router can use WPA 3. That is only likely if it was manufactured in the last few years.
