How to set security on my wifi?

My desktop died and I cannot set my wifi security through my MacBook laptop.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

I believe the Apple "weak security" warning appears, since either iOS 14 or macOS Big Sur, is due to the use of the TKIP cryptographic protocol for the wireless security setting. Switching to AES (which uses the CCMP protocol,) regardless of enabling either the WPA2 or WPA3 certification standard, should resolve this ... so at this point in time, WPA3 is not actually required.
