Yes, if you are using the same carrier with the new iPhone. If you are purchasing a new 5G capable iPhone, then most carriers in the US require you to install a 5G SIM Card. Check with your carrier.

You could but it would be best to get a new SIM from your carrier. Your old card may not be provisioned with 5G service.
