Recently I realized that my iPhone won't charge after connect Carplay. The charging indicator disappear as soon as Carplay is activated, is this normal? If I use another USB port(without phone icon port), it can charge with indicator shown.
It feels weird as previously it can be charged while using Carplay, currently using iOS 15.0.2, could you please advise is this an issue?

Given that the other port works, we know the iPhone is reacting properly. What we'd recommend is to contact the car manufacturer. It's possible that the CarPlay port isn't providing enough voltage in order to charge the iPhon while in use and may need repaired.

Yes another USB port from same vehicle, there are 2 port, 1 for CarPlay specific and another is standard charging port. I did swap another MFI certified cable but still doesn’t charge through CarPlay USB port, it shows charged, but just stay at current battery percentage, it won’t charge further, is this iOS issue?

We understand that your iPhone isn't charging when CarPlay is activated. When you say use another USB port, is that with your vehicle? Also, have you tried alternate cables as well? Specifically Apple-branded or certified ones: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories
