Every once in a while I’ll be texting iPhone users and while I usually send IMessages to these contacts, it starts randomly sending sms instead. Also, when my iPhone does this I am at home and am connected to data and WiFi. Why would my IPhone do this and how can I fix it?
I’d appreciate any help someone can give, thanks

Generally this happens when either you or the recipient are in an area with a weak wifi or cellular data connection, so imessage will send as text.
Other reason but rarely imessage has been turned off.
