Self destruct

Please lost mode isn't enough. I recently lost my iPhone 7 which I bought with my life savings. I wanna know if there can be a mechanism like self destruct if you realize your phone is stolen. If this is done I think the rate at which iPhones are stolen will reduce. And it's gonna serve as a lesson to others who intend to steal phones.
