Trying to create a child’s account but after I sign-in to my account and put in the verification code, it tells me ‘invalid payment method error description not available’
Have you checked your payment information to make sure it is correct?

Create and add the child to a family plan on your phone first under your account. Don’t try to do it on the child’s device first. That wouldn’t work for me. Then my wife came and created my daughter an iCloud from her family sharing function on her phone. Then… boom! I just signed straight into my daughter’s newly created iCloud on her new iPad.
