this mac can't be used to migrate data?

Have tried lots of times including updating big suit… what finally worked was to erase the disk and reformat and the most important step was to follow the SA SETUP AND DO THE MIGRATION WheN ASKED… DO NOT SKIP THIS PART… if you do, then migration can’t be done later
