About the quality of iPad

Hi There,

I bought an iPad pro 12.9 inches 5th gen 2021 about a week ago. But I have a problem with the quality of its camera. It has a very low resolution of the photos and videos I take (even lower than the photos on my Apple 6 phone). So I want to understand this correctly. Is this a normal condition on the iPad? Or have I been deceived? Can you please help me resolve this?

This is the serial number of my iPad: TH****W40

This is the model number of my iPad: MHR43ZA/A

That is the normal condition/operation.

Your iPad IS NOT a fake.

You are not the first person here to complain about how the new FaceTime CenterStage camera is working.

And I am sure you will not be the last.

Because of the wide angle nature of the FaceTime CenterStage video camera the 12mp resolution is spread out farther across this wider lens image effectively reducing the overall actual resolution of the resulting camera image.

To date, there is no type of fix for this.

No one knows if this is a physical, hardware camera lens limitation OR a software limitation of the image processing hardware/software that could, possibly, fixed through an iPadOS software update.

There is simply no way, currently, to know what is causing this issue.

You CAN send feedback to Apple about the new FaceTime CenterStage wide angle camera lens issue, by posting feedback using the link below.
