It’s still going on now… Upgraded my cousins macbook pro (late 2011) from lion to yosemite which was successful and took more or less an hour then wanted to update fo yosmite to high sierra which now currently is stalled in the loading screen
Here are the specs
256 SSD but its empty with just the usual apple programs/apps
Should I wait or restart using the power button?
Recheck the picture supplied as it is showing the computer is still running Lion 10.7.5. This would mean the Yosemite upgrade has not yet been successfully installed.

Suggestion for the future - in pictures in posting - try not to included the Serial Number of the computer
