Converting Compound clips to Multicam clips in FCPX

Is there a way to make Multicam clip from clips that are already in project timeline like you make compound clips or convert compound clit to Multicam clip? Because in Adobe Prem you cann make nested clip (compound clip) a Multicam clip.

Thanks.

I have one big clip on main storyline and above I have a bunch of clips that are audio sync to that one big clip. Cann you make this selection a new Multicam clip from timeline so that big clip is angle 1 and clips that are above that one are at angle 2?

If you make compound clip from that selection all clips positioning remains but then if you make Multicam clip from that compound clip it shows only one angle.

You need to add “Camera Angle” metadata to help FCP determine what angles to make.

Select all the connected clips and make a compound clip.

Optionally, make another compound clip from the clip in the primary storyline.

In the browser, select each of the compound clips, open the Inspector Info pane, and add a different name for each in “Camera Angle “. You may need to change the metadata view at the bottom of the Inspector from Basic to General to see “Camera Angle”.
