Apple’s Notes app: Random horizontal lines appearing after stop using the pencil function

When I finished writing and stop using Pencil this random horizontal line appears. Like below.

But when I use Pencil function, the line disappears like in the picture below. And happen again like the above picture when I don’t use the Pencil function. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it the hardware (Pencil or iPad Pro problem)? Or software problem? I use Goodnote 5 app, it doesn’t have this problem. The problem with Apple’s Notes app still exists when I set the Apple Pencil to “Only draw with Apple Pencil”. So I carve out the palm problem already but the problem is still there.

Greetings AlexSup,

It sounds as though you’re having issues with drawing in the Notes app on your iPad. Apple Support Communities is a great place for help! Do you notice if the line appears only under numbers, or does it appear under any text? Do you notice if the Apple Pencil may come in contact with the display at any time after you write out the characters on the display?

Also, if you go in to Settings > Notes > Lines & Grids, is the Lines & Grids feature enabled? If so, disable the feature and test to see if the issue persists.

Draw or write in Notes on iPad

You'll also want to make sure you're running the latest iPadOS. If you need the steps for updating they can be found in the following article.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We look forward to the results!
