If i send someone an image on whatsapp. After the image is attached i am unable to crop that image neither edit it. The crop and the coloring pencil goes below the notch and cant be pressed. Restarted my phone as well but issue is not getting resolved. My device is Iphone X. I have checked it on my other iphone as well its working fine.

Hi, i had a same problem too, but i tried to change my settings on display & brightness (display as ZOOM) cropping and editing photos on whatsapp are working, but a bit annoying cause im not used to have a larger icons and fonts.
Rotate your iPhone will work and wait for update from WhatsApp/Apple.
If you turn your iphone sideways to switch the app to ‘horizontal’ view, the buttons do work. This workaround worked for me..

Since updating to iOS 15.0.2, you're unable to edit images in the WhatsApp app. We suggest closing the app and then restarting the device. If that doesn't help, check to an update in the App Store.
If issue continues to happen, uninstall and reinstall the app. Before deleting WhatsApp, be sure that you created a backup.

WhatsApp has replied that it’s an issue from their end n will be resolved in the upcoming update from WhatsApp. Till such time rotate your screen it will work
I’ve just read someone response saying they just rotate their screen until the matter is resolved. I tried this and it works. It’s not ideal but for now it works. Just rotate your screen.
Did a whatsapp update today, seems to be fixed. Buttons are where they should be. Also, main chat screen is ok, word “Chat” doesn’t overlap anything.
Then you need to contact WhatsApp and ask them to fix this. WhatsApp is not an Apple product and has no control over how the interface works.
Have you read the previous responses, especially the ones that say the WhatsApp delevopers have acknowledged this issue and will have a fix for it in their next release?
Not a solution but a workaround. Turn your iPhone to landscape mode.
