Forgotten old Notes Password

I have recently upgraded to iOS 15 and when I have tried to unlock a note, it didn't use Face ID like usual, and I don't remember the password to that note, I have tried resetting it but it only resets the password for new locked notes, there is no option to reset the password for the old note without knowing the old password. Help!

Password on notes I had locked notes on my phone (on the app notes) and when I got a new iPhone I could no longer open those locked notes with my Face ID and it asked me for a password. I can’t remember the password because the password I usually use for things isn’t opening the locked notes. Resetting the password only works for new notes you put a lock on. Does anyone know how I would be able to get into old locked notes when I don’t know the password?

Without the password, you will not be able to open the note. The good news is that you have unlimited attempts in notes.
