Phone turns off when taking photos

My son's iPhone Xr turns off every time he tries to take a picture. The phone has to be plugged in before it will turn on again. He has the ios 14.7.1. I have even done a factory reset on the phone to no avail.

Go to Settings/Battery/Battery Health. Most likely you need to have Apple replace the battery.

I’m having the same problem but my battery says it is at a normal peak performance. Any ideas?

I have already replaced battery (non-apple) and reset device. Still having the issue. Updating iOS now. Hopefully that helps.

Then you replaced it with a poor quality battery. The camera puts a heavy demand on the battery; that is a classic symptom of a failing or poor quality battery with a high internal resistance.

I was told to update the iOS. It seemed to help for a while, but started up again. Going to contact Apple again to see what they can do.
