My Time Machine Backup shows as uninitialized

My system froze during the Mac OS 11.6 update and had to be reinstalled from scratch. Now my Time Machine backup with all of my data is showing as uninitialized. How do I recover my data?

External hard drive becomes uninitialized possibly due to partition table damage or loss, sudden power outage, improper ejection, etc. No matter what the cause is, the volumes on the not initialized disk will not be readable.

You can try DiskUtility>First Aid on the external Drive.

You are better off using one of your other backups to restore your user data.

3-2-1 Backup Strategy: three copies of your data, two different methods, and one offsite.
