How to auto refresh outlook inbox in chrome web browser?

I prefer to view my business Outlook mail via the Chrome web browser on my MacBook.

I view my personal Gmail account via another tab.

Until recently, my Outlook email used to refresh quite often.

It used to show a red dot on the tab whenever a new email arrived.

However, after I recently had my MacBook Pro fixed, my Outlook mail now NEVER refreshes unless I force it.

I am using Big Sur 11.6

My Gmail is happily behaving as before, and in fact, it has improved, as I now see a number on the tab to indicate how many new emails have arrived in my Primary inbox :)

I have tried getting rid of all my Extensions (as per a suggestion I found online)

Other general internet searches & suggestions have also proved fruitless :(

This is very frustrating.

I trust someone knows how to fix this.

Suggestions are welcome

Thx

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.5

Hello JMinSouthbank,

We'd love to assist you with viewing your Outlook emails. We'd recommend trying basic troubleshooting such as, restarting your Mac using the steps here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

If the restart does not resolve the issue, then we'd recommend reaching out to Google Chrome support here: Google Chrome Help

Have a great day!
