Internet speed test slower then a windows based pc test

Good day,

I make some tests on my MabBook pro 2019 with several online internet speed tests and the results is that the spedd on mi MBP is very very slower then perform the same test with a Win PC.

I have same speed difference using wifi or using ethernet cable.

Of course the tests are done using same wifi router and same ethernet cable, just plug and unplug to the other pc and running the same online test.

Running the test with ethernet cable the MBP download speed using ookla is about 12Mbps, running the same test on WinPc the speed is 90Mbps

As you can see the difference is very very high.

I repeat the condition of the tests are always the same on both the computers.

Can anyone suggest how to solve this?

thanks

When there is no difference between Wi-Fi and Ethernet, it suggests you may have a configuration issue with your test.

Internet packets are sent to the TOPMOST, WORKING interface shown in:

System Preferences > Network

to get Ethernet to be used, you may need to "set service order" using the Gear Icon below the list, and make certain Ethernet becomes Topmost and is Working for the test.

You can leave it that way, because when you do not plug in an Ethernet cable, Wi-Fi will be come the Working interface, and will be used instead.
