Apple TV distorted on my ROKU TV

So after months of watching Apple TV on my TV without an issue, I turned it on to find that any program displays with a green distorted picture.

I have the iTV app that I've deleted and reinstalled without joy. All other apps (Netflix, Disney, etc.) are fine. I am also able to watch iTV on my Mac, so I know it's not me and it's not the TV/HDMI/cables.

Any suggestions?

Mac OS Apple TV App has crazy video... Hi Folks, I've been watching Apple TV on my Macbook Pro ever since my iPad died a few months ago, all working perfectly until this week, when it now plays tv shows back as garbage - please see attached images. Trailers before the shows themselves play fine, but as soon as the show starts, it's a mess of weird colours. I've checked shows I've previously watched on this same Macbook Pro and they now give the same video output. I don't know what's going on! Movies I have bought from the store play fine, even as a stream. Seems like it's anything via Apple TV streaming, tv or movies. No idea why it's started or how to fix it!

Apple TV interface low res - plays 4K content fine, though Well, this is a weird one. I have a brand new Apple TV connected to a brand new Samsung 'The Frame' QLED 4K UHD TV, but the ATV interface is really low res. For instance, the icons showing content look like cartoons instead of actual photos. But when any video content plays, it looks great - very sharp and high res. Here are two pics, showing one of the featured thumbnails for 'What to Watch' for TV and a movie suggestion for iTunes Movies - both from the home interface. I have two other Apple TVs attached to other TVs in the house, and even though they're older, they don't have this issue. The third pic is an image of a streaming TV show (Grantchester - I think via Prime Video). Sharp as a tack. Anyway, any idea of what's going on here?

It sounds like you're having issues playing content in the Apple TV app. We can understand wanting to get that resolved. We want to help.

We'd recommend trying the steps in this article: If you can't watch or stream movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app

Hi Jeff-

I did try that first. Eventually I learned that the issue was one of bandwith. Nothing to do with either my TV or the iTV app.

Issue is resolved, all is good.
