Always have to reCAPTCHA with Safari - search engine Google

Since iOS 15 update, I have to always reCAPTCHA to search anything new - this can be on the same tab or a new tab. I have close Safari app after every search and have cleared my history and website data several times. I have also restarted my phone several times.

How do I stop this incredibly annoying feature?

Hi Rachel,

Being able to browse seamlessly is the experience we all love, and we'd like to help get you back to searching with Google without any issues. Let's start with confirming some basics:

  1. You mentioned that this occurs in Safari, but have you tried a different internet browser?
  2. When did this first start?
  3. As you have a compatible model, the latest version is iOS 15.0.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Take care!
