iPhone screen is cracked and I can't get it to trust my MacBook to back it to restore to new phone. siri works.
That is correct behavior. When the phone has been damaged, it will prompt for a trust as a security check. If you cannot trust it, then you cannot backup the device. You will have to use your last backup you have available.
