Experimental Features

Here be Dragons…

The “experimental webkit settings” page is perhaps poorly named as this page includes advanced settings that influence many key functions of Webkit - upon which Safari and other browsers depend. Some settings are intentionally and necessarily enabled by default - others not. Many operate in reverse logic. Key security settings also lurk amongst the various items.

Unless you know exactly what you are doing, you would be well advised to leave these settings well alone. If you do intend to “experiment”, you would be very wise to record the existing settings before making any changes. Short of a full reset of all iPad Settings, there is no “undo” or reset button that can restore the default Webkit settings.

In Safari? There is a huge list there. Try the ones you want and see if you like the affect. If not, turn them off and try some others. Which ones you use is a choice.
