I’m aware the silver stainless steel on the pro lineups scratch super easily. Iv seen numerous people fix that by using a steel polish. It seems to work iv tired it too. However, I’m afraid if I do this too many times that it will damage my phone, because you are actually removing a thin layer of the metal every time you rub it on a surface.
If it is plain stainless with no lacquer finish (are you sure?) then it will take a lifetime to polish through the metal, but I would worry more about getting polish in the button housings and SIM tray slot.
Why spend that much money on an iPhone and not put it in a nice protective case, which would prevent your phone from getting scratches in the first place? I would not use any polish on the phone for the fear LD150 correctly pointed out above. If your stainless phone is a color, it does have a finish, which can be worn off with polish.
Hello ~ I would be concerned about getting the polish into or onto important components. I would suggest a nice clear case so that your device is protected and you can enjoy the finish.
