12 mini bad pictures

My iPhone 12 mini is taking very bad pictures when any source of light needs to be captured. Is this a norm or is there any hardware issue with my phone and have to replace. Please suggest.

swaroop276,

We see you have a question about the quality of your iPhone 13 mini with bright light.

A single bright light source can cause a flare or reflection off the camera lens. This should also generally show in the viewfinder before taking the photo. If you adjust your angle a bit, are you able to eliminate the flare or is it persistent at more or less any angle?

Also, take a moment to wipe off the lens on the back of the iPhone with a soft microfiber cloth to ensure it is free of dirt or smudges.

Let us know if this helps.

Cheers!
