Apple Watch SE - Invalid IMEI

Purchased directly from Apple, attempting to activate on Spectrum Mobile which now supports Apple Watch and byod... IMEI listed for watch is coming up invalid when entered on the site to verify... how do I correct this issue and not lose data if I need to reset my watch?
