Unplugging my imac
I need to unplug my iMac for a few days while decorating. Are there any problems I should be aware of when plugging it in again ?

Not really. It's like any other electrical/electronic device: cover to protect from paint or dust depending on what you're doing. Shut down prior to pulling the plug, but even if you forget to shut down it should startup normally when re-powered.
