Unblocking deleted contact

I blocked a person’s number, then later deleted their contact. I’m now wondering whether I can unblock the person’s number. I still have the person’s current phone number and can message them, but I do not believe I’m able to receive their responses until I unblock their number.

Hi Johnsmith2021,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you've blocked a contact then deleted the contact. Are you able to locate the phone number if you go to Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts? If so, you can delete the phone number from this list by sliding it to the left and choose Delete. You can learn more here: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Take care!
