Hi! My old iphone 6 wont restore with an icloud copy made from my newer ios 15 iphone, it requires a software updated.. problem is that iphone 6 wont update beyond ios 12.5.5 . How can I restore it?

You can't. Your phone is not capable of the iOS version of the backup and this is not compatible with the backup.

You need an iPhone model (as destination) which can support an iOS version equal or more recent than the one that was used to create that backup.
