Captioning/Subtitles not working in Safari

I've gone through the Systems Preference>Accessibility>Captions>choose style then check Prefer Closed Captions and SDH but the captions won't appear in the Accelevents platform video I'm watching. I even added the Develop menu to the browser and switched the default to Google Chrome to try a workaround (I know the captions work in Chrome), but still no luck.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Thanks.

I'm running macOS Big Sur 11.6 on my 2017 13" MacBook Air

On screen controls locked when videos expanded in safari I just upgraded to Catalina and I am having trouble with safari 13.0.2. Every time I am watching videos on youtube, Hulu, Netflix, etc. When expanded, I am unable to click on any of the buttons. I cannot pause videos, mute, fast forward or anything. If I hit esc the video will shrink and I can control all these buttons again. All controls work fine in chrome... I am running catalina 10.15 and safari 13.0.2 Thank you!

Fullscreen mode of video in Safari Hello! I have a problem with a fullscreen mode of video in Safari. When I pushing the button of fullscreen on player or pushing key "F", video goes on the other screen, and in the main Safari window opens a search bar like on photo. Every time when I want to watch a video in fullscreen mode. And any button on the video screen doesn't work when address bar is open. I don't know what the problem. Mac has updated a few days ago on the latest versions of software. In previous versions of Mac OS I have not this problem.

Cannot scroll youtube video pages in Safari 14 (Big Sur) I haven't been able to scroll down on youtube video pages using safari 14.0.1 Ive tried disabling and uninstalling all extensions, restarting my machine multiple times. doesnt seem to make any difference. Problem started occurring after the Big Sur 11.0.1 point update.
