Heart rate
The vertical lines I understand but the spaces between the same lines confuse me. Also times there is a line than a small red dot spaced either the vertical line.

The horizontal axis is time. Spaces between the lines are times of no measurement. Dots indicate a single measurement at a given time, while vertical lines indicate multiple measurements.
