Best Thunderbolt 4 dock(s) for new M1Pro/Max laptop?

My faithful mid-2012 MacBook pro is getting more flaky, frequently rebooting instead of waking from sleep if on battery. So I finally bit the bullet and ordered a new M1Max MacBook Pro.

It does have HDMI and SDXC built in, but I need a dock to connect Ethernet and my Displayport monitor. A second SD slot would allow copying. And it would be handy at home to supply all connections including power through a dock so I have only one cable to connect.

There are Thunderbolt 4 docks out there (including one from OWC that at the moment is not available) but of course the full Thunderbolt 4 capability has not been available on Mac before.

With earlier OS releases there seemed to be a lot of unplanned rebooting and kernel panics when docks were plugged in or unplugged while the Mac was asleep. May have been solved in Big Sur so should be fine now. But I would appreciate hearing some experience from other users.
