iCloud Settings - Look Me Up By E-mail

Hello,

After reinstalling my MacBook due to some battery related issues, I've noticed that there is an "unknown app" under "iCloud Settings > Look Me Up By E-mail". The app is called "DarknessBot".

If I try to disable it, it will become enabled again after I reopen the iCloud Settings again.

Did you see this issue before? How can I permanently disable/remove this unknown app from the iCloud Settings?

As per the article Manage the apps that you use with Sign in with Apple - Apple Support

On the web

  1. Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
  2. Go to the Security section. Under Sign in with Apple, select "Manage apps & websites."
  3. Select Manage.

You can edit the app from here , if it is found delete it , however if it is found in finder > applications , just right click on it and move to trash , restart the Mac and empty the trash .

System Preferences > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Look me up by e-mail.

This is the path where I can find this information.

Also, this app "DarknessBot" is not installed on any of my Apple Devices.

I've tried to install it on my iPhone, and then searching for some settings related to this configuration, but I wasn't able to find any option related to this DarknessBot.

Even installing then uninstalling, the app is still showing there.

Is there any way to force the removal or deactivation of this configuration?

Thanks!

Andre
