Audio files not working in FCPX

I am having an issue where the audio is not showing up when importing or even after importing in FCPX.

I have other media that is imported and everything works fine, but for some reason, some of the files are just coming up as blank.

I can see the file in my SSD and I can play it and it all works just fine, but for some reason when I decide to import it, it's just blank.

There are no wave forms.

P.S.

Other files seem to be cut mid way.

If I go to import a file, the file plays but half way the audio just dips and it's gone, there is nothing there.

Please help, I am completely stumped on this one!

The file plays correctly in the QuickTime player when open from the SSD? Is the file being imported into the library bundle or being left in place? If the former, use Reveal in Finder to locate the imported file and check that in the QT player.

Please give the complete specs of the media from the QT player Inspector window. What computer, what OS, what FCP versions are you using?
