VO2 Max stopped working on Apple Watch Series 6

Hi, my VO2Max stopped registering on my Apple Watch Series 6 on 7 Sep 21. I have tried all solutions offered in these forums to no avail. My watch has cellular so I never take it with me on outdoor walks or runs. Then one day I took my watch with me when doing a calibration of fitness data on flat terrain and all of a sudden it worked. Then my next workout without my phone it didn’t work. I have worked out that it now only works when I take my phone. It used to work without my phone. Have I inadvertently changed vital settings in my watch or phone that would have stopped VO2Max from registering when on workout without my phone? Thank you.

Sorry for the additional post. I should also point out in case it is related that my Apple Watch is also not registering flights climbed. My phone is when I take it on my workouts but my watch is not whether I have my phone with me or not. Cheers.

Thank you, I have tried most of those suggestions. Although I didn’t have the Health app as a higher data source priority over my watch for cardio fitness data. Will try that for my next workout. I also have not yet done a factory restore of my watch. Will do that only as a last resort. Will let you know how I go. Cheers.
