nyc subways are not on the transit card list so cannot add my existing card or account

MetroCard cannot be added into Wallet.

You can add credit or debit cards to your Wallet app and turn on the Express Mode. Tap your iPhone on the Subway OMNY reader and go. Learn about Using Apple Pay in NYC.
