Downloading Keynote

Downloading is halted and a note says "Requires OS10.11 or later". I am running OS10.13.6 yet the server is not recognising compatibility. what is the workaround? Apple surely know of this issue but I cannot see where or how they have addressed it.

If you were on OS X 10.9.5, Pages v5.2.2 would notify you that a newer version of Pages is in the Mac App Store and. you should upgrade to it. Of course, that is wrong, but it's been this way for years. As you are on High Sierra, there is no resolution for you to install Keynote v11.2 as it is correct that it requires macOS Big Sur or Monterey.

The alternative would be to upgrade to Big Sur, but then, only if your iMac is a Late-2014 or newer model. Would you consider that knowing that Big Sur only supports 64-bit applications, printer, and scanner drivers?

Any attempt to download the current Keynote (v11.2) from the Mac App Store on High Sierra will pop a dialog just like the one I received:

And since I already had the last version of Keynote (v9.1) for High Sierra, that Download button was useless. If you had an older version of Keynote on High Sierra, that download button might just get you v9.1, and then you would be good to go.

As I understood it the window asked for OS 10.11 or later, and was not referring to the Keynote version of 11.2.

I could use my iWork 08 but for the missing lib component that I can't resolve from the discussion notes mentioning altering the Terminal. I don't want to go over to PowerPoint but that seems to be my only option. A small hiccup with big consequences.
