Some contact photos are not showing under iMessage. Show contacts photo is turned on under iMessage settings. When I click on the contact under the contacts app, the photo will show, but when I open iMessage, the contact photo will not show on some contacts. Just upgraded from iPhone 8 Plus running IOS 14 to iPhone 13 pro max running IOS 15.0.2. Did not have this problem on my old phone.

We see you're running into issues showing contact icons under the Messages app.
To clarify, the contacts where the info won't show, do you see an option from that contact to update their photo?

Got it.
Given the "Show Contact Photos" option is toggled on under Settings > Messages, and you were able to see them on previous OS versions and your old device, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly for additional assistance.
