Erasing Deleted Photos taking long

Hello,

I was trying to clear my photos library on my Macbook Pro and I was trying to delete all of the photos in the recently deleted section. However, it's been saying "Erasing Deleted Photos" for a while now. I think it has to do with me having 12,000 photos in the recently deleted section. How long does this usually take? I had to force quit Photos a couple of times but I'm still having this issue where its been stuck on Erasing Deleted Photos.

Hello,

Looks like the Photos App is working now. So it WAS the amount of photos that was in the Recently Deleted section. Therefore, I advice for those who are having the same problem, delete the photos every 3,000 photos to avoid the Photos app from having to work too hard.
