What password are you trying to get rid of? If you mean the passcode to your phone, go to Settings>Face ID & Passcode (or Touch ID & Passcode). You will need to enter the current passcode. Then, tap "Turn Passcode Off". I believe you'll need to enter the passcode again.

more people I know are not using icloud, thinking more about local crime and hacking...

Perhaps, but about 850 million people you don't know are using it.

thank you

pass word is another feature I don't want to argue with

I don't need one, I don't bank or shop on my phone

I live in LA, if I am beaten up for my phone the LAPD will do nothing to retrieve it or punish the criminal

happened to a friend, and the criminals get past the passwords... no point

better to just not have anything important accessible

so... how do I do this without creating another problem creating a password I don't want?

apple needs to catch up

as I've said, I didn't set up a password, I had to take gloves off at work every time I needed to respond so, never formed the habit

saying other people use it, may only be a list of the millions who learn their personal information is being shared

for example, WHO reports Worldwide, 3 million deaths every year result from harmful use of alcohol, this represent 5.3 % of all deaths.

those statistics are probably very low, reporting in third world nations tends to only reflect reports the higher income hospitals

a great number of people doing something, is not a good argument

I said.....

I don't use icloud, how can I turn off the icloud terms and conditions notice

and, same with "password"

don't need or use it...

I provided specifics....

I don't have a password set up

I would like to stop the iCloud notifications

instructions look like I have to set up a password I don't want to turn off the iCloud notifications I don't want

that looks clear to me

you are young, right?

Again, what password? The password for iCloud? For your phone? For something else? If it was clear, I wouldn't keep asking for clarification.

you are young, right?

Well, in my family, 60 is still considered pretty young as we tend to live a long time. And, compared to a lot of the long-time members of this forum, 60 is also on the young side. But what does my age have to do with anything?

if I don't use I cloud, I don't have a password for icloud

"you didn't make it clear" when I did... is something young people often do

they rush to blame their lack of understanding on another

that "seems" to be what you are doing...

why would I be saying I don't use a password when I am talking about my phone

and be talking about another device?

you don't understand, I understand that, but, you can't help if you don't understand

and that is not due to a failing in my part, understand?

I have explained several times

there is no "we" in this

but you have me laughing, years ago when "the print shop" began to go down hill they opened a board for people to address their problems with the software. A person using the name "Brandi" would respond to everyone who was having a problem with the software "if you can't give me the details I need to solve your problem I can't help you"

"brandi" never told people what "details" were needed when they asked,

eventually everyone realized, brandi didn't know the software or, the problems with the software were so serious there was no solution for it and brandi wanted the users to feel the failure was with them...

how many times have I said, I don't use a password on my phone, I don't use iCloud... there are no passwords

LOL, thanks brandi
