iPhone iCloud backup too big

My iPhone backup on iCloud was too big… it didn’t make sense: 30Gb. I noticed it by chance.

I deleted it and re-do.

Now it is 7Gb, which makes sense.

Why is this happening? Shouldn’t iCloud backup size be updated on each backup correctly?

Any idea on the issue please?
