Read how to 'Use the Find My app to locate a missing device or item'. Click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT210515#locate
- A person can use the Find My app on a device owned by someone in their Family Sharing group. Alternatively, anybody can sign into https://www.icloud.com/find to locate their device using a browser.
According to these two posts, using iCloud will not require a 2FA code:

Note that the Find My service is the only service Apple offers in aid of finding a missing device. It does not use numbers such as IMEI or serial numbers so I don't know to which "id number' you are referring.
